StarCraft 2 is an amazing game with incredible depth. Not so much that you sink if playing casually but enough that it seems you will always be learning something new. This is what keeps it exciting and always fresh and fun to play. The further in you dig, the more detail the developers have put into ways to develop strategy and win against your opponents.

This point cannot be stressed enough. Just like real battlefield stories, the game has programmed into it numerous deep complexities, each of which can serve as the tipping point for a strategy to win a battle. Fortunately, there are StarCraft 2 Guides available to help organize and synthesize the StarCraft 2 universe. From the particular aspects of the races of Terran, Protoss, and Zerg to the ways each race needs to be organized and developed. It is hard to imagine being able to enjoy the game as much without using these StarCraft 2 guides. This is because learning the basics is never as fun as getting into the deeper elements of strategy and conquest.

That is where the real fun and depth begins within the StarCraft 2 universe. Just as a real world battlefield commander knows the exact specs and absolute extreme limit of each piece of equipment and each individual soldier, so will you when mastering this game. In the physical world, commanders and military teams are constantly pushing the limits of every strategy. Playing war games against each other and pushing every possible scenario in order to develop the perfect plan.

The same is true for StarCraft 2. Gamers test every possible scenario and combination of units and races. Pitting them against each other in countless scenarios in order to achieve the perfect balance and tactics for an unstoppable force. Just as the military commanders use and build on the strategies of their predecessors and contemporaries, so should you.

Building on the shoulders of giants through studying others with StarCraft 2 Tactics is invaluable if you are serious about becoming a success. Tactics are critical as the theory of throwing in everything you have against an opponent is oftentimes the most disastrous strategy, for you. Learning what others have learned. This puts you in the same class as all those that study military strategy. The goal is not to copy. But to learn and develop your own tactics that others will not be prepared to counter against.

This has been the key to my enjoyment of modern day video games. Especially top tier games like StarCraft 2. I have found that using guides and tactics that have been developed by the hard core gamers has allowed me to get a lot more enjoyment from my casual game play. The alternative is to never really understand what you are missing, and what you are missing is what makes gaming so fun.
